Safety precautions
Before attempting to use this ghd hairdryer for the safety of both yourself and others, please read the safety precautions set out below carefully and follow them, without exception, at all times when using your ghd hairdryer.
CAUTION: Your hairdryer is a high performance, professional product and the nozzles get hot in use. DO NOT place on a heat sensitive surface. Allow to cool before touching.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance a by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
When the hairdryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched off.
For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with an operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable when using this product. Please contact an electrician for further details.

3.WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
4.Do not reach for the appliance if it has fallen into water.
5.Do not leave within the reach of children.
Always inspect your ghd hairdryer before use, and do not use it if it is damaged. If the power cord or plug is damaged it must be replaced by Jemella Ltd. in order to avoid a hazard. Jemella Ltd will replace the product free of charge only if it is within warranty.
To reduce the risk of electrocution:
1. Do not use if the cord is damaged.
2. Do not pull or strain the power cord and do not unplug by pulling on the cord, rather disconnect the ghd hairdryer by isolating the mains switch and then by removing the plug.
3. Do not use an electrical extension lead in conjunction with the ghd hairdryer.
4. IMPORTANT: This ghd hairdryer is designed for 220-240V, 50-60Hz. Do not use with any other power supplies other than that specified on the rating plate. Always check that the voltage of your electricity supply matches the voltage of your ghd hairdryer
5. Do not use this product with a voltage inverter or any device designed to convert the electrical supply to 240V from a different source.
6. Your ghd product is a class II electrical appliance.
7. Any error when connecting the ghd hairdryer can cause irreparable harm, not covered by the guarantee.
The ghd hairdryer must be unplugged from the mains socket;
1. Before cleaning and maintenance procedures.
2. If it is not working correctly.
3. As soon as you have finished using it.
4. If you leave the room, even momentarily.
The ghd hairdryer is equipped with a heat-sensitive safety cut out device. In the event of overheating (for example if the rear filter is blocked), the dryer’s heater will stop automatically. This will cause the temperature of the heater to become cold and hot intermittently. Isolate the dryer from the mains supply and clean the filter. If your ghd hairdryer has broken or does not work correctly immediately stop using and contact ghd (Jemella Ltd), see contact details.
Your ghd hairdryer can only be repaired using specialist tools and by qualified experts at ghd.
