The smart ghd hair straightener recognizes the needs of the hair during styling. The ghd platinum styler is equipped with the predictive UltraZone™ technology, which allows it to detect each hair strand and styling speed, adjusting the temperature accordingly. This maintains the optimal styling temperature of 185°C on the styler plates of the hair straightener. As a result, the hair becomes stronger, gains more shine, and more color durability. The temperature on the ghd platinum styler is monitored 250 times per second to achieve unbeatable styling results tailored to the specific needs and thickness of the hair. For an optimal, professional result, the ghd platinum styler can be combined with the ghd bodyguard heat protect spray. The rounded shape of the ghd platinum makes it ideal for creating a variety of looks: whether casual waves or straight hair, everything is possible. The unique wishbone hinge ensures that the precisely aligned styler plates of the hair straightener are directly on top of each other during styling, for a creasefree look. The ghd platinum is equipped with universal voltage, allowing you to straighten or curl your hair anywhere in the world. The automatic sleep mode turns off the styler for additional safety after 30 minutes of nonuse.

operation Ensure that hair is completely dry before using the ghd platinum+ styler. 1 Heatproof plate guard 2 Styler heater plates 3 Raised finger guard. Avoid holding or touching the styler beyond this feature. 4 Switch 5 Body 6 Power cord 1. Plug the ghd platinum+ styler into the power supply. The ghd platinum+ styler will momentarily flash once around the ON/OFF switch to indicate that it is connected to a power supply and is in standby mode. 2. To turn on the ghd platinum+ styler, press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least 1 second. The ghd platinum+ styler will play a short start-up tune and a light will pulse to indicate that the styler is heating up. 3. IMPORTANT: the ghd platinum+ styler reaches the required temperature in seconds, so be careful not to touch the heater plates. Once the ghd platinum+ styler has reached temperature, it will bleep and the light will remain illuminated to indicate that it is ready to use. 4. When you have finished your styling session, press and hold the ON/OFF button until the ghd platinum+ styler plays the shut-down tune. Once turned OFF, unplug the ghd platinum+ styler from the power supply and allow it to cool in a safe place. Your ghd styler is not only attractive to you, but also to your children. Please ensure you always store your ghd styler out of reach of children, Please ensure you always store your ghd styler out of reach of children, particularly during use, especially when cooling. For safe cooling, cover the plates with the heatproof plate guard. WARNING: even with the plate guard on, the styler plates are still very hot, do not touch the plates or allow children or those with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge to touch the styler whilst it is cooling. The ghd platinum+ styler has the following safety features: 1. Sleep mode: if the ghd platinum+ styler has been left on and has not been used for 30 minutes, a safety feature will automatically turn the styler off. The styler will play the shut-down tune, the heating plates will start to cool and the light will slowly pulse until the plates reach a safe temperature. a. To re-start the ghd platinum+ while it is in sleep mode, simply press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least 1 second until the start-up tune sounds. b. Note that although the ghd platinum+ styler is turned off, it is still connected to the mains and should be unplugged from mains electricity at the earliest opportunity. 2. Protect Mode: The ghd platinum+ styler can protect itself against adverse events or power fluctuations, for safety the heaters will turn off, the ghd platinum+ styler will emit a bleep and the light will flash white every five seconds. If this occurs un-plug and re-plug at the power supply and then re-start. 3. Fail safe: in the unlikely event of a control system error, for safety the heaters will turn off, the ghd platinum+ styler will emit bleeps and the light will flash red every 5 seconds. If this occurs switch off the ghd platinum+ styler at the power supply and re-start. If the unit does not re-start or the problem persists, contact ghd Customer Service for advice.
