these safety instructions before using your ghd chronos curve
Your ghd chronos curve is for use only as a hairstyling aid, and only with
appliances specifically designed for use with a heated hairstyling aid such as a
heat resistant mat.
Handling your ghd chronos curve
Ghd chronos curve contains high tech sensitive components therefore please
ensure that the appliance is not dropped. Do not insert foreign objects, paint,
burn or disassemble your ghd chronos curve.
Do not use your ghd chronos curve if it has been damaged – for example if
the casing is cracked. If your appliance is damaged through misuse or abuse,
this will not be covered under your guarantee. Jemella Ltd will replace the
product free of charge only if it is within warranty. This does not affect your
statutory rights.
This appliance is not

Children should be
supervised to ensure that

curve down using the built-in safety stand, on a heat
resistant, stable flat surface.

Do not use this device
in a bathtub, shower,
or water filled reservoir.

used in a bathroom, unplug
it after use since the
proximity of water presents
a hazard even when the
appliance is switched off.
2. For additional protection,
the installation of a
residual current device
(RCD) having a rated
residual operating current
not exceeding 30mA is
advisable in the electric
circuit supplying the
bathroom. Ask your
installer, or a qualified
electrician, for advice.

As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically live even
when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of electrocution:
Never operate this appliance
if it is not working properly,
or if it has a damaged power
cord or plug. If the power cord or plug is damaged, it must be
replaced by Jemella Ltd.
1. Only use with 100–240V, 50-60 Hz power supply.
2. The appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in.
3. Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the power cord
around the appliance. Do not hang the ghd chronos curve by the power cord.
4. Always unplug the ghd chronos curve immediately after using.
5. Do not use an extension power cord with this appliance.
6. Do not use a voltage inverter or generator with this appliance.
7. Your ghd product is a class II electrical appliance and does not
need be connected to an earth connection.
warning: hot surfaces
The ghd chronos curve barrel is hot for effective styling.
To reduce the risk of burns:
1. NEVER touch the heated barrel.
2. When not styling always place the ghd chronos curve down using the built-in
safety stand on a flat heat-resistant surface such as a ghd heat mat.
3. When styling is complete, always switch off the ghd chronos curve and
unplug it from the power supply.
4. Wait for the appliance to cool before storing.
5. After styling the barrel remains hot – place the appliance on a ghd heat
resistant mat using the built-in safety stand.
6. When your ghd chronos curve has cooled, fold the power cord in the same way
as it was first delivered in its packaging. Do not wind it around your hand or the
barrel or handle of the ghd chronos curve as this can lead to early failure of the
power cord.
7. Always place the appliance with the stand, if any, on a heat-resistant, stable
flat surface
