Adjusting belt length: Detach leather from buckle by lifting the metal flap with a small rod; determine required length; cut leather & apply a tiny drop of glue to the severed seam on the back; push leather back into buckle as far as it will go; hold leather and buckle firmly together & close metal flap again.
