- When using retinol products, apply the product in a patch on the skin first to detect any possible reaction. Initially, use retinol products 2 to 3 times a week to allow the skin to adjust to the active ingredient. Then, slowly increase the application up to once daily. Preferably use retinol in the evening. If using retinol products during the day, never forget sun protection as the skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight. Do not use retinol products after laser treatments or peels.
