Sitting at the intersection of Linienstraße & Kleine Hamburger Straße in Berlin Mitte, we opened The Corner as a place of creative exchange. We hosted a three-day music & streetwear experience in a continuation of the collaboration with Online Radio Station Refuge Worldwide. It brought together a mix of curated streetwear, hands-on workshops, DJ sets and live performances from Refuge Worldwide residents and special guests, keeping the energy high all weekend long. Shygirl made a surprise appearance on opening night, hyping up the crowd with a live performance of her latest tracks. Her outfit matched the high-energy vibe she brought to The Corner.
The D.C. artist brought a blend of soul, rap, and funk to The Corner, creating a performance that was equal parts laid-back and magnetic. With genre-blurring tracks and effortless charisma, he turned the space into a block party.
Berlin’s own DJ Spit kept the crowd moving with a fast-paced, multi-genre set that showcased his sharp mixing skills. His sleek look matched the precision and style of his sound.
Vanta V Black drew on Southern African sounds to deliver a raw, unfiltered performance. Channeling the pulse of the underground rave scene, she brought that spirit into her set as well as her look.
Berlin-based interdisciplinary artist Özay Öztürk, known for his work with Refuge Worldwide, brought a vibrant, community-rooted energy. His set blurred boundaries and his bold, colourful style made him stand out behind the decks.
Up-and-coming Berlin rapper CANDECEE owned the stage with a dynamic rap set that fired up the crowd. Her look mirrored the strength and confidence pulsing through her verses.
Representing Hamburg and the Makayabundo Social Club, LUI35 brought style, substance, and unmistakable presence to The Corner. His performance embodied the collective’s creative force.
