It's best to shave in the morning, immediately after showering and before breakfast: Then your hair, which is primarily made of keratin, is softer and easier to cut, and your facial skin is less sensitive. Prepare your shaving cream by filling the brush with soap or shaving cream. Using products called shaving preparations has a dual purpose: It provides better hydration of the hair on the one hand, and effectively protects the skin from the aggression of the blade on the other. With shaving soap: Your face is wet beforehand (ideally after a shower). Hold your brush under warm water and lather the soap or a small amount of shaving cream in the bowl (without crushing the hairs) until you get a thick and creamy lather. Apply to your face in circular motions for one to two minutes to soften and smooth beard hair. With shaving cream: Once you have prepared your face and moistened the shaving brush with warm water, put a small amount of cream on top of the brush and lather the face for one to two minutes as described above. Some users prefer to apply a trace of the cream on each cheek directly from the tube, then emulsify it with the brush. To maintain the quality of your shaving brush for many years, we recommend rinsing it well after each use to remove all traces of cream or soap and to drain it. Then rub it gently on a towel before putting it upside down on a suitable stand.
