Dampen hair and part it in the middle. Place the silk rod on the hair and secure it with a hair clip. Start with the front sections and wrap the hair away from the face around the silk rod. Gradually add more hair until all hair is wrapped up.
Remove the hair clip, secure the ends with hair ties, and leave it in the hair overnight, or until the hair is dry. To loosen, remove the hair ties and lift the rod to get curls.
Style as desired.
