The "Flat Eye Liner" brush from Laura Mercier allows you to draw a straight, precise line directly along the lash line. Its bristles are particularly firm and arranged flat, picking up just the right amount of eyeliner product to precisely deposit it at the desired spot.

Creamy textures automatically adhere to the synthetic fibers of the brush. To achieve optimal results with pressed powders, first press the bristles into the powder and then lightly onto the back of your hand to work the texture into the brush. This way, it finds more hold in the bristles and doesn't fall out as easily. After tapping off excess powder, apply the powder with patting movements and light pressure over a large area. Then blend it as desired. Hold the brush between your thumb and middle finger when applying makeup, approximately in the middle of the handle, but slightly closer to the brush head. Use your index finger for additional control. For blending and dispersing, grip the brush at the end of the handle and hold it loosely in your hand. Clean your brushes as needed with mild shampoo and a little water. Rinse them thoroughly under clear water afterward. If you're working with Laura's Brush Cleanser, dip them in or spray the cleaner on and remove the makeup with a paper towel. Make sure to always pick up products in the direction of the fibers and return the bristles to their original state at the end so they maintain their shape - never twist, squeeze in a spiral motion, or wipe against a hard surface. Lay flat to dry, do not stand upright, and transport separately when traveling to protect them.
